Pam Farquhar BEng (Hons)
Director
Building Services – Edinburgh

Overview

Pamela joined Blyth & Blyth in 2001 following 4 years’ experience with a small consultancy practice, after graduating from Edinburgh’s Napier University in 1998. Pam became an Associate in 2018 and in January 2023 was promoted to Director.

As an Associate, Pam managed live projects at various design and construction stages, and also performed support duties for the M&E Director within the Edinburgh office with respect to staff resourcing, fee bids and submission and general management tasks for the M&E Team.

Pam has led numerous successful projects, across a number of sectors, and mostly in the industrial sector, and has particular interest in the sustainability approach to building services design.

Proudest moment at Blyth & Blyth? Or project you were most proud to be involved in?

I was delighted to have been involved, from conception to completion of the new Henrick’s Gin Palace for William Grant & Sons at their Girvan site.
The unique building and servicing strategies lead to a challenging project with outstanding results.

Favourite building and why?
