Alun joined Blyth & Blyth in February 2024 and brings a wealth of experience across a wide variety of sectors. He has over 25 years’ experience in engineering consultancy and takes a proactive and hands-on approach to project delivery.

He brings teams together to ensure a collective and collaborative approach is given to addressing a project’s early engineering challenges.

Alun encourages and supports school pupils to gain work experience within the industry and is a passionate mentor to students and young professionals.

Proudest moment at Blyth & Blyth? Or project you were most proud to be involved in?

I am sure I have many proud moments to come and I very much looking forward to working with the team here.

Favourite building and why?

The Bank of Scotland headquarters building and the Usher Hall are two iconic buildings in Edinburgh and hold fond memories for me, having been on top of the roof of both buildings with my dad as a young boy in the school holidays. He worked in the roofing industry and played a part in developing my interest in engineering from an early age.
