As part of the ongoing expansion works at Cameronbridge, in partnership with Dalkia, Diageo are constructing a £70 million Bio Energy plant. The plant will process the site’s by-products with the solids (Draff) being extracted via belt process, and then burnt in a Biomass Boiler with steam produced being used to supply the distillery and generate electricity via a steam turbine. The boiler itself has been manufactured in India by ENMAS with whom our engineers have worked very closely to ensure that UK design standards have been adhered to.
Our appointment for this project was with Dalkia for whom we have managed the procurement of the very significant civils and infrastructure contract.
